• This category seeks to recognise initiatives that accelerate gender balanced leadership in the workplace. These companies ensure that the workplace environment is one in which staff are valued for their many differences and are not left behind or excluded because of them.

• This category might include initiatives which examine who is being hired, who is being promoted, who is leaving the organisation and who is doing the most to champion gender balanced leadership at all levels of the organisation.

• Women’s Empowerment involves incorporating sustainability and high ethical standards in the development and operation of a company's operations, processes and hiring culture. Examples of initiatives in the women empowerment category might include the measures a company takes to ensure that there are no gender bias risks in operation, or how a company caters to more vulnerable employees and clients, or measures a company takes to engage employees in improving sustainability by working with them to reduce their bias footprint.

• This award will be presented to a man who is not only talking the talk, but leading by example.

• This category is sponsored by PWN Global 

• This award will be presented by PWN Global's Federation Board, to a senior level woman that PWN Global wishes to honour for her lifetime of work and achievement in the area of gender balanced leadership.

• This award will be presented to someone who shows fearless courage in speaking out, and who may often dare to be controversial to create positive movement that will change the world.

• There is no shortlist for this award. The award winner for this category will be announced at the awards.
